EKR and EBRD sign 11 bln tenge contracts
On December 24, 2015 in Ust-Kamenogorsk city, the Akim of the region Danial Akhmetov and EBRD Director for Infrastructure in Russia and Central Asia Yekaterina Miroschnik have signed loan agreements worth 11 billion tenge.
Signed agreements directed to repair heating system, water supply and sanitation of Semey city. Under the agreement, EBRD will finance projects of "Semey Vodokanal" company and "Teplokommunenergo" on modernization of the district heating system, reconstruction of water supply and sanitation.
In turn, the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan will allocate concessional financing under the national program for infrastructure development “Nurly Zhol”.
Akimat of the East Kazakhstan region gets through the active business to attract of financial resources of EBRD at the amount of 171,1 billion tenge, 5 projects of which in Ust-Kamenogorsk and Semey cities are priority, totaling 16,9 billion tenge. At the first half of the 2016, the 3 loan agreements are planned to be signed at the amount of 5,9 billion tenge for changing the street lighting on energy-saving in Ust-Kamenogorsk and Semey cities, modernization of water supply and sanitation of Ust-Kamenogorsk.
